From September 8, 2023 to August 24, 2024, the Belgian Comic Strip Center will become - literally - the “Lombard house” for the exhibition “Le Lombard, a family affair”, designed by Thierry Bellefroid.
For the occasion, the museum will be transformed into a furniture store “showroom”, with each space embodying a different room in a family home, from the kitchen to the children’s bedrooms and the playroom.
The basic idea is that “every age has its heroes”. The occupants of each room will dictate its content. As the rooms unfold, the Lombard House takes shape, a 77-year-old residence of history and stories. Strolling through this warm and popular residence, visitors will discover reproductions, projections, originals and photos of their authors.
