Lisette Ma Neza is a twenty year old woman with adolescent dreams. She lives in Brussels, where she studies film, has roots in Rwanda and holds the Dutch nationality. She never exclusively represents one country or continent, but rather considers herself a global citizen.
As a kid she wrote poems and sent them to publishers without her parents’ permission. At the age of fourteen, Lisette got a phone call from one of said publishers and she subsequently published her first book.
Last year she became the Belgian slam poetry champion and was the runner-up in the European championship. Her poems for Museum Night Fever will be related to inner identity crises, covering topics such as skin colour, racism, genocide and growing up surrounded by trauma. She moves the audience with her story, filled to the brim with emotions.
